Charles Town Bank Robbed

Officials with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office are hoping the public can help them to identify a man who they say robbed the MVB Bank Thursday afternoon.
CHARLES TOWN, WV - Officials with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office are hoping the public can help them to identify a man who they say robbed the MVB Bank Thursday afternoon.

Investigators said the man entered the bank, located at 88 Somerset Boulevard, shortly after noon through the rear entrance.  They say the man handed each teller a note demanding money.

The man is described as a white male, between 25 to 35 years old, with a thin build, and about 6'0" tall.  He had a large tattoo, possibly of a spider, on the lower right side of his neck.
 
Multiple police units searched the area and Sheriff’s Department K-9 “Nitro” was deployed to conduct a scent track of the suspect.  The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by the West Virginia State Police, Charles Town Police Department, and the Harpers Ferry Police Department.
