Crews Battle Fully Involved House Fire

The home was for sale and no one was in the home at the time the fire broke out.
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Crews battled a fully involved house fire in Berkeley County Saturday afternoon.

Dispatchers with Berkeley County Fire and Rescue say it broke out around 2:30 p.m. at a home as 12 Marietta Lane in Martinsburg.

Crews arrived to find the right side and the upper floors completely engulfed in flames.

Four fire departments fought the blaze and had it under control within 30 minutes.

Emergency responders say they believe the compost heap along the right side of the home caught fire and spread to the house

The home was for sale and no one was in the home at the time the fire broke out.

No injuries were reported.
