Crime Solvers Offering Reward in Armed Robberies

Pennsylvania State Police are continuing to investigate the three robberies at the Sunoco along Black Gap Road, Rutter's on Lincoln Way East, and the Fuel Up gas Station along Philadelphia Avenue. Each robbery happened within days of each other.
FRANKLIN COUNTY, Pa. - Officials with Franklin County Crime Solvers are now offering a reward for information leading to an arrest in connection to a string of armed robberies in the Chambersburg area. 

Pennsylvania State Police are continuing to investigate the three robberies at the Sunoco along Black Gap Road, Rutter's on Lincoln Way East, and the Fuel Up gas Station along Philadelphia Avenue. Each robbery happened within days of each other. 

Troopers say in each instance a white man entered the store and robbed the teller, taking cash. At the first two locations the suspect displayed a long gun. At the Fuel Up location, the man displayed an ice-pick style weapon. Police believe these robberies have been committed by the same person. 

Anyone with information is asked to call 717-263-3000. Information leading to an arrest of the persons involved may result in a reward of up to $2,000. You may remain anonymous.
