Deputies Search for Man in Vehicle, Credit Card Theft

The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s help in identifying a man who stole a car in Martinsburg late Saturday night.
BERKELEY COUNTY, W.Va. – The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s help in identifying a man who stole a car in Martinsburg late Saturday night.
Deputies say that at 11:30 p.m. on June 28, 2014, a 2003 Honda Odyssey was stolen from a residence on Glossy Ibis lane in Martinsburg.
A credit card that was in the stolen vehicle was later used at the Foxcroft Avenue Wal-Mart in Martinsburg, deputies say.
In video of the Wal-Mart transaction obtained by deputies, the suspect is shown to be a white male.
The sheriff’s office says that the same man attempted to use the credit card, which was declined, later the same day at a Virginia Wal-Mart.
Deputies say the van is brown in color and has West Virginia registration with the tag number SQ043937.
