Deputies Search for Woman in Courthouse Bomb Threats

The Frederick County Bureau of Investigation is asking for the public's help in identifying a woman in connection to bomb threats made to the Frederick County Courthouse on Friday, March 21.
FREDERICK COUNTY, Md. - The Frederick County Bureau of Investigation is asking for the public's help in identifying a woman in connection to bomb threats made to the Frederick County Courthouse on Friday, March 21. 

Deputies say the first bomb threat was received around 8:15 a.m. in Parole and Probation. The threat was non-specific, and employees were able to continue to work inside the courthouse while the Sheriff's Office, Frederick Police Department and ATF K-9 Unit cleared the building. 

Citizens were restricted access to the facility until the search was completed. Nothing suspicious was found. 

Around 9:45 a.m. the building reopened to the public. Deputies say around 10:50 a.m. a second non-specific bomb threat was made in the District Court Clerk's Office while law enforcement were still on the scene. The courthouse remained open after the second bomb threat. 

Deputies say the woman suspected in making these threats is described as a white female, around 20-30 years of age, long dark hair, 5'4"-5'6" tall, with an average build.
