Deputy Suspended After Charged with DUI

Officials said Deputy First Class Robert Phillips is a seven year veteran of the office. He is now on paid administrative leave until the case is adjudicated in court.
WHAG NEWS - Officials with the Frederick County Sheriff's Office have suspended a deputy after he was charged with driving under the influence. 

Officials said Deputy First Class Robert Phillips is a seven year veteran of the office. His police powers have been suspended, and he's now on paid administrative leave until the case is adjudicated in court. 

The sheriff's office will also be conducting their own internal investigation. 

Deputy Phillips is the third deputy from the Frederick County Sheriff's Office to be charged with a crime since December.
