Early Voting Begins in Maryland

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Md. - Early voting begins throughout the state of Maryland this week.

Starting this Thursday residents will have eight days to submit their early ballot. Washington County Director of Election Kaye Robucci says this season's voting will be accessible because the Community Action Council will be providing a bus to shuttle residents to and from the voting site.

Organizers are preparing the Phoenix Color Building, just off of the Western Maryland Parkway.

"And so this year its at the Old Pheonix Building, which is 101 Tandy Drive, and so its just a nice opportunity for people who maybe work on Election Day to now have a choice that includes a weekend."

Early voting starts this Thursday and will run through June 19.
