Four-State Fans Make Big Game Predictions

HAGERSTOWN, Md. - The big game is just a few days away. The two teams with the best records are vying for NFL's biggest prize. Many four-state residents are planning to watch the showdown, and some gave us their predictions.

This year, the NFL's biggest game will take place under the bright lights of the Big Apple area. While snow removal crews spent the week cleaning off the snow at Metlife stadium, weather forecasters are calling for temperatures as high as 50 degrees, which will be good news for the Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks. Both teams are coming in flying high, as Peyton Manning leads a record setting passing attack against the NFL's best defense. Most local fans are giving broncos the edge.

"I'm picking the Denver Broncos because my son has been a Broncos fan since he was eight years old and now he is thirty so you know you got to stick with him," says Laura Smith, picking the Broncos.

"I'm rooting for Seattle but I think this is going to be a game similar to when the Redskins beat Denver long time ago," says Brooks McCumbee, picking the Broncos. "Only I think Denver is going to win this one 62 to 10."

However, some fans say defense wins championships. They say Seahawks' vaunted secondary of the Legion of Boom will lay down the Boom against arguably the league's best receiving core and Russell Wilson will do enough to lead his team to victory.

"The Seattle offense is going to struggle against Denver," says David Banks, picking the Seahawks. "I think that the defense is so strong that it's going to be a low scoring game and Seattle is going to pull it out in the end."

"I'm rooting for the Seattle Seahawks, I want them to pull off an upset, I'm not a peyton manning fan," says Curtis Stubbs, picking the Seahawks. "I'm very hurt, I'm a New England Patriots fan."

While many people think the 48th edition of the big game will be competitive, they think Peyton will make the difference as he will hoist his second Vince Lombardi trophy.

"Peyton Manning is probably the best football player, there has been in the last 15 years," says Sheriff Pete Dougherty, picking the Broncos. "He is aggressive, he knows when to throw when not to throw and I think he is going to make the score."
