Four-State Region Hit with Sweltering Heat Before Passing Storm

Many counties in West Virginia, including Berkeley and Jefferson Counties experienced downed trees and power outages.
WHAG NEWS - With the heat and humidity around the four-state area, most local pools were the place to be before the thunderstorms moved in Wednesday afternoon. 

High temperatures Wednesday were into the 90's, combined with the humidity the heat index was measured at around 100 degrees from late Wednesday morning through the afternoon. 

Folks at Potterfield Pool on the south end of Hagerstown said it was a great day to come out and enjoy what sunshine we had before the storms came in. 

The severe thunderstorm moved through the four-state region, causing major damage to certain areas. Many counties in West Virginia, including Berkeley and Jefferson Counties experienced downed trees and power outages.
