URBANA, Md. – The Frederick County Sheriff’s is investigating two cases, a burglary, and vandalism at Urbana High and Middle Schools, and are now asking for the public’s help.

On Thursday, May 8, around 10 AM, the Sheriff’s Office was called to Primary Care Associates, on the 3300 block of Urbana Pike for a reported commercial burglary. One of the employees reported she found an office window broken, and that a laptop and stethoscope had been stolen.

The office’s video surveillance captured two males entering the business during the overnight hours through the front window.

On the same day, officials at Urbana High School reported vandalism on the school’s property. A work van and numerous fire extinguishers were found damaged, the total damage estimated around $300.

Officials believe the suspects used the fire extinguishers to spray the parking lot at Urbana Middle School as well. They also wrapped masking tape around the middle school’s portable buildings.

The school’s video surveillance showed three males, possibly juveniles, vandalizing the school properties. Deputies believe the same suspects may be involved in both cases. Anyone with information about these crimes or who can identify the males seen in the video are asked to call Cpl. Martin Watkins at 301-600-3925 or Dfc. Brian Stocks, School Resource Office at Urbana High School, at 240-236-7682.
