Frederick Police Investigate Friday Evening Shooting

Officers with the Frederick Police department say they are investigating after one person was found with a gunshot wound.

Frederick, Md. - Officers with the Frederick Police Department are asking for the public's help in finding out more information about a shooting that happened Friday evening.

Officers were called to the area of the 300 Block of Madison Street just before 6 p.m. for a report of a shooting. When they arrived, officers located one victim who was suffering from one or more gunshot wounds.

Through their investigation, officers determined the shooting happened in the area of the 400 Block of Sherman Avenue, where they believe several people got involved in an a fight that ended with several shots being fired.

The victim was taken to a local hospital where he is listed in serious condition.
