WINCHESTER, VA - Winchester Fire officials have more details about the North Kent Street house fires that happened just a week apart, last month.

Winchester fire officials say the investigation into the fatal fire that happened at 300 North Kent Street on June 18th, is still ongoing.

They are not giving details into who or what is being investigated, but police did execute search warrants for arson and felony homicide.

They say it could be weeks to months before they have answers.

Meanwhile, fire officials have concluded the fire that happened a week later on June 27th at 300 North Kent Street was not suspicious. They say it was caused by a small electrical appliance that was plugged in on the first floor bedroom.

Fire officials say there is no connection between the two fires besides the buildings having the same landlord.
