Hagerstown Man Sentenced to 30 Years in Murder Case

Shakeem Miles was handed down the sentence Wednesday. Miles had ten years of that sentenced suspended, and was also given credit for time served. He'll now serve just over 19 years.
WASHINGTON COUNTY, Md. - A Hagerstown man has been sentenced to 30 years is prison after pleading guilty to second-degree murder. 

Shakeem Miles was handed down the sentence Wednesday. Miles had ten years of that sentenced suspended, and was also given credit for time served. He'll now serve just over 19 years. 

Miles was accused of fatally stabbing a man on West Franklin Street in Hagerstown in October 2013. 

After he's released, Miles will also serve five years of probation.
