Hagerstown Woman Accused of Sexually Abusing Young Children

A Hagerstown woman is facing 16 sex offense related charges after she sexually abused numerous young children over a period of years, according to court documents.
WASHINGTON COUNTY, Md. - A Hagerstown woman is facing 16 sex offense related charges after she sexually abused numerous young children over a period of years, according to court documents. 

Barbara Ann Williams, 51, of Hagerstown, Md., was in Washington County Circuit Court Monday for a hearing where her trial date was decided. 

Williams faces multiple sex abuse charges including second and third-degree sex offense, unnatural or perverted practice, and sex abuse of a minor.

The charges were originally filed in January 2013 and stem from multiple incidents that occurred in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2011 and 2013, records say. 

Williams is being represented by Public Defender Thomas Tamm. The case is being prosecuted by Attorney Brett R. Wilson Esq. Williams was previously held at the Washington County Detention Center before she posted bond. 

Williams trial is scheduled for June 10, 2014 at 1:30 p.m.
