Hit and Run Crash Leads to Drug Arrest in Frederick

A Middletown man is facing numerous charges after police said he struck another person's vehicle three times before driving away from the scene.
FREDERICK, Md. - A Middletown man is facing numerous charges after police said he struck another person's vehicle three times before driving away from the scene. 

Frederick police said they were flagged over at 9:40 a.m. Wednesday, August 20 in the first block of S. Market Street in reference to a hit and run. 

The victim told officers his car was hit three times between the 400 block of W. South Street and the 100 block of W. South Street. The victim gave police a description of the suspect vehicle. 

Police said they were able to locate the suspect vehicle at N. East Street and Austin Alley. They made contact with the driver, identified as Ricky Dwayne Fisher, of Middletown, Maryland. 

Fisher admitted to police he struck the victims vehicle. He was then taken into custody without further incident. Fisher also stated to officers that there was marijuana inside his vehicle. Police said the marijuana and paraphernalia were located within the passenger compartment of the vehicle. 

Fisher is charged with two counts of hit and run, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia , and five payable traffic citations.
