I-70 Reopens After Two Semi's Collided

The interstate was shut down for three hours while the semi's and trailers were cleared off of the roadway.
WASHINGTON COUNTY, Md. - Interstate 70 eastbound was partially closed for three hours early Friday morning after two semi's with trailers collided.

Maryland State Police say just after 1 a.m., they responded to the two vehicle crash in the area of Boyd Road.

Their investigation revealed the at-fault driver drifted into the right lane, striking the second semi.  The second semi lost control, traveled off the roadway and into an embankment.

Neither driver was injured in the accident. I-70 is now clear and traffic is flowing smoothly.
