FRANKLIN COUNTY, Pa. - Interstate-81 northbound was shut down for about eight hours Monday at exit 16 in Franklin County following a tractor trailer rollover.

It happened around 2:30 p.m. along I-81 near mile marker 18, just between exits 16 and 20.

Fire and rescue officials say the vehicle overturned, leaking fuel onto the road. They say the trailer’s load, a Grove crane, was blocking the northbound lanes.

Wreckers were called in to remove the crane near the northbound lanes.

No injuries were reported.

The northbound lanes of I-81 were officially reopened around 10:30 p.m. Monday night.
