WHAG NEWS - On Tuesday, IHOP Restaurants in the area are celebrating National Pancake Day.

Customers will be served a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes in an effort to raise awareness and funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. IHOP is hoping to stack up more donations than ever before with a goal to raise $3 million for a total of nearly $6 million in nine years with the fundraiser.

"Just a lot of supportive people that come in who have either experiences it or know somebody that has Leukemia or Lymphoma, and I find that they're the ones making this a happy experience for myself going to the table," said Kassie Howard, IHOP crew chief.

You can get your free pancakes until 10 p.m. Tuesday night.
