Keedysville Woman Crashes into Townhomes, Faces DUI Charges

Deputies with the Frederick County Sheriff's office say a Keedysville woman is facing DUI charges after she crashed into some fences, and two townhomes Wednesday afternoon.
FREDERICK COUNTY, Md. - Deputies with the Frederick County Sheriff's office say a Keedysville woman is facing DUI charges after she crashed into some fences, and two townhomes Wednesday afternoon. 

The incident happened around 1:50 p.m. along Crestwood Boulevard in the area of Farmbrook Drive. 

Deputies say they responded to the area for a reported personal injury motor vehicle collision. They say the vehicle left the southbound lanes of Crestwood Blvd. and struck fences belonging to four townhomes. Two townhome exterior walls were additionally hit. 

The driver has been identified as Kieron O. Smallwood, of Keedysville, Maryland. Deputies say she was driving a 2006 Lexus. 

The driver refused medical treatment from EMS responders on the scene. Smallwood was charged with multiple traffic violations including DUI/DWI. She was transported to Frederick County Adult Detention Center for processing. 

Deputies on the scene requested the Frederick County Building Inspectors respond to determine that the buildings were structurally sound. Anyone with informaion regarding the collision investigation can call DFC. Ruopoli at 301-600-4139.
