It's also a big day for more than a dozen kids in the Boys and Girls Club of Rochester, who got the chance to tour the greens and got to see what it was like to live like a pro.

This was about more than just teaching kids about the game of golf, it also was a chance to teach them life lessons. The excitement was at an all-time high for a number of Rochester kids involved in the Boys and Girls Club. For most of them, it was their first trip to Oak Hill.

"It was actually exciting; I liked to see Adam Scott," Angelita Clark said.

It was important for coordinators to get the youth involved in a sport that requires discipline.

"Being out here in this incredible atmosphere makes these kids want to follow their dreams of being pros one day too," executive director Dwayne Mahoney said.

"Real good to be on the golf course when I grow up," participant Sage Lofton said.

Asad Muhammad has been hitting the course for the last two years. Being In this club and in the game teaches him about life.

"[It] not only teaches us sport of golf, life lessons too that go along with that honesty and integrity," he said.

The kids say they are so grateful to have this opportunity to tour the course and be able to snag some autographs from the people they look up to as role models.
