Local Choir's Performance Stuns Students

"It was so amazing to hear a group of students perform something that was very unique, with not only vocal talent but bells and several instrumentals."
WASHINGTON COUNTY, Md. - Traveling from the University of Notre Dame to Saint Maria Goretti High, bells were ringing in Hagerstown.

The University of Notre Dame Celebration and Handbell Choir gave a sparkling performance that stunned students.

Featuring an array of contemporary musical works, many felt inspired by the elegance of the bells incorporated into the music. But they were also inspired by one familiar face in the ensemble.

"It was so amazing to hear a group of students perform something that was very unique, with not only vocal talent but bells and several instrumentals and it was just beautiful to see that group of very individuals put on such a beautiful performance for us," said Kait D'Addato, Saint Maria Goretti High School.

Tuesday's performance marked the 25th anniversary of the Notre Dame Handbell Choir.
