Local Woman Faces Child Abuse Charges

Last November police responded to the 9400 block of Gas House Pike for a young toddler who was in cardiac arrest. Blake was then taken to Frederick Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
FREDERICK, MD - Frederick Officials say Elizabeth Tramonte was indicted by the Grand Jury for Frederick County on charges of first degree child abuse resulting in death along with other offenses. The case involved the death of her three-month-old son, Blake.

Last November police responded to the 9400 block of Gas House Pike for a young toddler who was in cardiac arrest. Blake was then taken to Frederick Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

According to a news release, Blake suffered injuries to his face and head and an autopsy concluded his death was caused by multiple injuries and factors. Therefore his death was classified as a homicide.

Tramonte was arrested yesterday and is currently being held at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center.
