Man Breaks into House, Attempts to Bite Homeowner

The incident happened on Tuesday, April 8 around 3:15 a.m. along the 11600 block of Ernestville Road in Clear Spring.
WASHINGTON COUNTY, Md. - Deputies with the Washington County Sheriff's Office arrested a Frederick man after he broke into a house, scaring the family and attempting to bite one of the homeowners. 

The incident happened on Tuesday, April 8 around 3:15 a.m. along the 11600 block of Ernestville Road in Clear Spring. 

Deputies say the female homeowner was awoken by a male intruder standing over her while she was in bed with her two children. The woman confronted the intruder. The male homeowner, who was downstairs, heard the confrontation and ran to the bedroom where he saw the intruder standing in the bedroom. 

The male homeowner then took hold of the intruder and escorted him downstairs into the garage, deputies say. The intruder attempted to repeatedly bite the male homeowner while he was held down until deputies could arrive. 

The intruder was identified as Stephen Gregory Little, 36, of Frederick. He's charged with first degree burglary, second degree assault, two counts of rogue and vagabond, and three counts of theft less than $100. 

Little is currently being held at the Washington County Detention Center on $350,000 bond.
