Man Dies in Single Vehicle Crash in St. Thomas Township

State police say Richard E. Wolff, 55, of St. Thomas, Pa., was traveling south in his 1993 Chevrolet 1500 Truck when he suffered a cardiac arrest. Troopers say the victim died from the medical emergency, not the crash.
FRANKLIN COUNTY, Pa. - Pennsylvania State Police are investigating an accident where they believe the driver went into cardiac arrest before losing control. 

The accident happened around 5:45 a.m. Monday along 59 St. Thomas Edenville Road in St. Thomas Township. 

Troopers say Richard E. Wolff, 55, of St. Thomas, Pa., was traveling south in his 1993 Chevrolet 1500 Truck when he appeared to have a medical emergency before losing control of his truck, going off of the roadway, and crashing into a garage. Wolff died on the scene. 

Troopers say the victim died from the medical emergency, not the crash. 

State police were assisted at the scene by the Franklin County Coroner's Office, St. Thomas EMS and St. Thomas Fire Department.
