Man Killed in Tractor Trailer Accident

Police say Chad Williams Sneathen, 24, of Front Royal, was driving in his pickup truck when he ran through a stop sign at the intersection, pulling out in front of a tractor trailer.


FREDERICK COUNTY, Va. One man is dead following an accident involving a tractor trailer Monday night, according to Sgt. Tyler with Virginia State Police.

The incident happened around 11:30 p.m. on Rt. 522 northbound Frederick Pike at the intersection of Rt. 127 Bloomery Pike.

Police say Chad Williams Sneathen, 24, of Front Royal, was driving in his pickup truck when he ran through a stop sign at the intersection, pulling out in front of a tractor trailer.

The tractor trailer struck the pickup truck. Police say Sneathen was not wearing a seat-belt and was pronounced dead on scene.

They say the driver of the tractor trailer was not hurt in the crash.

No charges have been filed.
