Man Sentenced to 10 Years in Fatal Drunk Driving Crash

A judge sentenced Merle Stanley Johnson to 10 years in prison in a 2012 drunk driving accident that left a 17-year-old dead.
JEFFERSON COUNTY, W.Va. - A judge sentenced Merle Stanley Johnson to 10 years in prison for a drunk driving accident that left a 17-year-old dead. 

Police say James Lee Fletcher II died in the January 2012 crash on the 7700 block of Summit Point Road. 

In November 2013, a jury found the 66-year-old guilty of driving under the influence, causing death-negligent homicide, and failure to drive on the right side of the roadway.
