Man Wanted for Attempted Murder in Baltimore Caught in Cumberland

Warrant officers with Baltimore City Police responded to Cumberland Tuesday, August 26, 2014 after receiving information that the suspect, Dontray White, 23, may have fled to the area to avoid apprehension.
CUMBERLAND, Md. - A man wanted for attempted murder in Baltimore was caught and arrested Tuesday in Cumberland. 

Warrant officers with Baltimore City Police responded to Cumberland Tuesday, August 26, 2014 after receiving information that the suspect, Dontray White, 23, may have fled to the area to avoid apprehension. 

Members of the C3I warrant/fugitive unit were able to get several addresses of known acquaintances where White might be. With the assistance of the Cumberland Police, and the Baltimore PD warrant officers, C3I investigators checked these addresses. 

Investigators learned White fled from one of the locations after learning that law enforcement was searching for him. Investigators learned where White fled to, and responded to that location. He was taken into custody at that time. 

White was subsequently transported back to Baltimore pending his initial court appearance.
