Winter Weather Alert: Bryan's Monday Evening Forecast: 11/25/13

A Winter Weather Advisory & Winter Storm Watch are in effect as the entire area as the run of seeing the entire gambit of winter weather in the next 48 hours. Meteorologist Bryan Schuerman has the details in Your Local Weather Leader Forecast for Monday Evening November 25th 2013.

Winter Weather Alert: Winter Weather Advisories are in effect for the entire WHAG Viewing Area from overnight Monday into Tuesday Afternoon. A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for garrett County, Maryland & Somerset County, Pennsylvania for the same time period.

 

Precipitation will develop tonight as a wintry mix of snow and sleet with temperatures dropping into the 20’s overnight. As temperatures warm on Tuesday Morning, we are expecting the precipitation to change over to Freezing Rain by mid morning and last into the afternoon hours. Around 0.10” of freezing rain is possible.  The freezing rain will change over to plain rain as we get into the afternoon hours and last into the evening, and then into Wednesday, where it will change back to snow as the system departs our area late Wednesday. There is the potential for snow accumulation on Wednesday as the system departs.  4-8" of snow and 0.25" of ice accumulation is possible in the Winter Storm Warning area.

Tonight: Increasing cloudiness with a wintry mix of snow and sleet developing after midnight. Around an inch accumulation of sleet and snow is possible.  Low: 26-31.

 

Tomorrow (Tuesday): Cloudy skies with a wintry mix of snow and sleet turning to freezing rain by mid morning and lasting through the afternoon. Freezing rain changing to rain in the afternoon hours and lasting through the evening. Some rain could be moderate to heavy at times. High: 34-39.


Tomorrow Night: Cloudy skies with rain changing over to snow. A light snow accumulation is possible. Low: 28-33.

Wednesday: Cloudy skies with rain changing over to snow. Some snow accumulation is possible as this system leaves the area.  High: 38.  Low: 25.
