Court documents show Lisa Smith, 33, allegedly provided alcohol to and had sexual contact with at least three other juveniles.
Police said over the course of three weekends in May, Smith had sexual contact with at least four juveniles during "parties" she hosted at her home.
“Mostly on the weekends, they would have music going,” Smith’s neighbor Steve Zapotocky said. “My wife and I would be sitting in the backyard, but you could always hear them and you knew were it was coming from. I'm really shocked. I never dreamed anything like that would happen."
Court documents show that on May 18 and 25, Smith allegedly provided alcohol to a 15 and 16-year old before having sexual contact with them.
The teens told police the same thing happened when they returned to the house a third time on May 31. This time, however, two other 16-year-old's and an 18-year old were also there. They allege all five males had sexual contact with Smith that day.
Police say rumors about what happened at Smith's parties started going around the victims' high school. A school resource officer eventually caught wind of those allegations and reported them to authorities.
After a six week investigation, an arrest warrant for Smith was filed on July 21. She was charged with statutory sexual assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, furnishing alcohol to minors and corruption of minors. Smith turned herself into authorities later that day.
"By giving alcohol to minors, just like an adult, you lower their will,” Mercersburg Police Chief John Zechman said. “It's important to find these people that are predators and charge them."
When Smith was brought in for questioning, she admitted she had provided liquor to minors. But when asked about her sexual relations with them, she wrote in a statement to police, "I remembered getting real drunk and passing out and they must have had sex with me."
Smith posted her $50,000 dollar bail Tuesday. Her preliminary hearing is scheduled for August 5, 2014.
