Police Investigate Home Invasion in Cumberland

Officials say the suspect is believed to be a black male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, with a bandanna covering his face, as well as gloves.
CUMBERLAND, Md. - The Cumberland Police Department is investigating a home invasion on the 1000 block of Frederick Street. This happened around 4:30 Monday morning.

Officials say the suspect is believed to be a black male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, with a bandanna covering his face, as well as gloves.

He entered the residence through an unlocked side door.

They say the suspect displayed a knife and demanded valuables. Officials are saying he stole jewelry, prescription medication, approximately $400.00 in cash, along with a TV, and a 2010 Nissan Sentra. The vehicle is silver in color and displays Maryland Registration: 03267HT.

Police say the suspect is considered armed and dangerous.
