Police Say Cameras Caught Suspects Stealing Car at Walmart

Police say security cameras caught Michael Johnson and Branndin Sowers using the electronic key to search for the victim's car in the parking lot.
HAGERSTOWN, MD - Officials say two people have been arrested after stealing a woman's purse and car from a Walmart parking lot.

Police say security cameras caught Michael Johnson and Branndin Sowers using the electronic key to search for the victim's car in the parking lot. Officials say after Johnson and Sowers found the car, they drove off  with it.

Later in the afternoon, deputies in Berkeley County, WV say they saw the suspects after Johnson ran a stop light at Apple Harvest and Winchester Avenues in Martinsburg.

Officials say Johnson and Sowers left the car and tried to hide in the woods, but deputies were able to find and arrest them.

Both suspects were taken to the Eastern Regional Jail in Martinsburg and are facing multiple charges.
