Police Search for Man in Susquehanna Bank Robbery

Officers said the man had entered the bank and approached the teller, handing her a note stating it's a robbery. The suspect was able to leave with an undisclosed amount of cash.

BERKELEY COUNTY, W.Va. - The Martinsburg Police Department is searching for a man who they say robbed a local bank Monday afternoon. 

It happened around 1:40 p.m. at the Susquehanna Bank located on 301 West Burke Street. Officers who arrived on the scene were flagged down and advised that a robbery had just occurred. 

Officers said the man had entered the bank and approached the teller, handing her a note stating it's a robbery. The suspect was able to leave with an undisclosed amount of cash. 

He was last seen wearing a blue/green shirt, black pants, and an orange baseball cap. 

Police said several units assisted by the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office and West Virginia State Police began searching the area for the male suspect without success.
