Police: Teen in Stable Condition After Being Hit by Train

Martinsburg Police Department officials say a teen who was hit by a train Monday is in stable condition and could soon be released from the hospital.
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. – Martinsburg Police Department officials say a teen who was hit by a train Monday is in stable condition and could soon be released from the hospital.

The 15-year-old was hit Monday afternoon by a CSX train near the intersection of Raleigh Street and Tavern Road.

The train conductor and a friend of the victim told investigators that the teen was using earphones to listen to music and did not hear the train’s horn.

The teen was flown by medical helicopter to Inova Fairfax Hospital.
