Proclamation Ceremony Held for Child Advocacy Center

The Frederick County Citizens Services Division held a public event at City Hall to bring awareness to child abuse in the area, and to award the center for its outstanding work in the community.
FREDERICK, Md. - On Wednesday, the City of Frederick held a special proclamation ceremony for the Child Advocacy Center. 

The Frederick County Citizens Services Division held a public event at City Hall to bring awareness to child abuse in the area, and to award the center for its outstanding work in the community. 

They also acknowledged the center's work with helping local police with child abuse cases. 

"We participate in something called the Child Advocacy Center, which is a collaboration of a number of professionals and community members that deal with child abuse allegation investigations, and prevention, and together they do a lot of good work behind the scenes," said Chief Thomas Ledwell, Frederick.
