Rt. 11 Crash Causes Power Outages

Officials said 460 homes in the area were without power due to the crash. It took more than an hour to restore power to all but four homes.

BERKELEY COUNTY, W.Va. - Traffic was backed up along the 4000 block of Williamsport Pike (Rt. 11) Wednesday afternoon following a single-vehicle accident. 

Officials said at 3:03 p.m. a blue Ford Ranger pickup truck traveling south along Rt. 11, struck an electric pole in the Bedington area of Berkeley County. 

They said 460 homes in the area were without power due to the crash. It took more than an hour to restore power to all but four homes. 

The driver sustained no injuries. 

Potomac Edison was still on the scene as of 5:15 p.m. Wednesday fixing the pole.
