Severe Thunderstorm Watch in effect until 10:00 PM for Frederick County, MD & Loudoun County, VA... Storms that form are capable of producing damaging wind gusts in excess of 60-65 MPH...

Wind Advisory in effect from 6:00 PM Wednesday until 11:00 AM Thursday for the following counties…
In Maryland: Allegany, Frederick & Washington
In Pennsylvania: Adams, Bedford, Franklin and Fulton
In West Virginia: Berkeley, Grant, Hampshire, Hardy, Jefferson, Mineral and Morgan

Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 3:00 PM Wednesday until 8:00 AM Thursday for Garrett County, Maryland.

Winds are expected to strengthen this evening sustained to between 15-30 MPH with gusts as high as 45-50 MPH. Once the front passes through the area, temperatures will plummet to winter like readings tomorrow, with highs only in the lower 30’s. Once we factor in the winds, wind chills will be only in the teens, but they will go below zero overnight tonight in the Wind Chill Advisory area.  Snow is expected in the higher elevations with anywhere from 1-3” of snow possible in Garrett County.
 
This cold snap will not last long, we will be back into the 50’s as we get into the end of the work week and weekend.
