Shepherd Baseball eliminated, Shenandoah loses in NCAA Play

Shepherd loses to Winston-Salem St. 6-5.  With the loss, the Rams are now eliminated from Regional Play.  Shenandoah loses in 14 innings to Salisbury 2-1.  The Hornets face an elimination game Saturday morning.
Shepherd staged a rally in the ninth but loses 6-5 to Winston-Salem State. 
 
Nathan Minnich and Chad Murphy each went 2-for-5 and drove in a pair of runs. Michael Lott and Nash Hutter added a pair of hits. Aaron Scoville scored three runs and Ryan Messina added a double.

Shepherd ends the sesson at 32-20.

Salisbury University will play for the 2012 Newport News Regional title after downing No. 19/20 Shenandoah University 2-1 in 14 innings Friday afternoon.

Shenandoah (31-12) now moves into an elimination game against regional top-seed Christopher Newport Saturday at 11:00am.
