Shots Fired at Man in Attempted Armed Robbery

Frederick City Police are asking for the public's help after a man was assaulted and fired at in an attempted armed robbery.
FREDERICK COUNTY, Md. - Frederick City Police are investigating an attempted armed robbery where they say a man was assaulted and shots were fired at him late Thursday night. 

Just after 8 p.m., officers say they were called to Redfield Court for a report of gunshots.  

A man was located and told police he had been followed from Route 40 and Hillcrest Drive to Redfield Court.

The man said he was assaulted and had attempted to run, as the suspect fired gun shots toward him. No one was injured in the incident.

Police are looking for a suspect described as a black man, about 6'0", wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and a mask.
