Shots Fired in Hagerstown Leads to Arrest

Officers with the Hagerstown Police Department responded to the 300 block of S. Mulberry St. for a report of a single shot fired just before 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
HAGERSTOWN, Md. – Officers with the Hagerstown Police Department responded to the 300 block of S. Mulberry St. for a report of a single shot fired just before 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.

They said two people were involved in a confrontation. They identified the suspect as James Lyle, 44, of Hagerstown.

Officers said he got a rifle from his residence and the confrontation continued outside. Lyle fired one round.

They said no one was hurt, and Lyle was arrested and charged with numerous weapons violations.
