A Wind Chill Advisory and Warning is in effect for the 4State region tonight into Tuesday afternoon.  Wind chills are expected to drop to -40°F in some spots in the early hours of Tuesday morning.  Take caution as you head outside tonight and tomorrow morning, as temperatures will dip down to below 0°F in many spots.  Winds will exceed 20 MPH with wind gusts up to 40 MPH, making wind chills dangerously cold.  As wind chills dip down into the -20's, frostbite can occur within minutes.  Make sure to dress in multiple layers when going outside and bring in your animals. 

TODAY/TONIGHT: As a strong Arctic front pushes its way through the region, expect rain and snow showers early Monday morning, leaving us with mostly clear skies by the later afternoon.   Temperatures will be in the upper 30's Monday morning but will plummet into the teens and single digits later in the afternoon.  Wind chills will reach -20 to -40 in some regions.  HIGH:  38, LOW: -1.   Winds:  West 18-22 MPH.  Gusts up to 40 MPH.  


TUESDAY: The polar vortex will bring temperatures into the low teens for highs. Wind chills will remain below zero for most of the day.  HIGH:  12,  LOW:  7.

WEDNESDAY: Not as cold or as windy with a mix of clouds and sunshine. HIGH:  30,  LOW:  20


THURSDAY:  Mostly cloudy and slightly milder.  HIGH:  38,  LOW:  32

FRIDAY:  Mostly cloudy with rain showers.  HIGH:  43,  LOW:  33
.

SATURDAY: Mostly cloudy, milder.  HIGH:  49,  LOW:  36
.

SUNDAY: Even milder with rain showers and mostly cloudy conditions.  HIGH:  51,  LOW:  39
