Teacher Faces Charges for Allegedly Assaulting Student

A Jefferson County teacher is facing charges for allegedly choking a special needs student.
SHENANDOAH JUNCTION, W.Va. - A Jefferson County teacher is facing charges for allegedly choking a special needs student. 

According to West Virginia State Police Lt. Michael Baylous, Terry Lee Taylor was arrested and charged on Thursday, February 27, 2014. 

Taylor is a teacher at Jefferson High School. He is accused of choking a special needs student. 

Baylous says the alleged victim's mother made the complaint and that Taylor was arrested after an initial investigation revealed probable cause. 

Taylor, 63, is from Strausburg, Virginia. He faces charges of battery and unlawful restraint. He was never booked into jail according to West Virginia Regional Jail Authority records.
