Teen Charged for Allegedly Assaulting Police Officers

The teenager faces numerous charges, including second-degree assault on a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest. He was taken to a detention center.
FREDERICK, Md. - A teenager has been charged for allegedly assaulted an officer in Frederick, Maryland Saturday morning.

Those with the Frederick City Police Department say officers responded to the 1600 block of Colonial Way around 7:30 a.m. to find a wanted person.

Police say once there, a teenager violently resisted being taken into custody and assaulted two officers as they tried to handcuff him. The teen spit on and head butted a third officer, according to police.

The teenager faces numerous charges, including second-degree assault on a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest. He was taken to a detention center.

One of the officers was treated and released at Frederick Memorial Hospital.
