Three Seriously Injured in Frederick Crash

A male passenger was ejected from the car and two females, including the driver, had to be extricated from the vehicle.
FREDERICK, Md. - Three people are seriously injured following a crash near Market Street in Frederick late Wednesday night.

Police attempted to pull over a car traveling in the wrong direction on Market Street around 8 p.m., but the driver continued speeding down the roadway. 

The vehicle was located a short time later after it crashed on South East Street.

Police say a male passenger was ejected from the car and two females, including the driver, had to be extricated from the vehicle. The man was flown to Shock Trauma in Baltimore, while both women were taken to Meritus Medical Center.

South East Street was closed between E. South Street and Monocacy Boulevard, as police reconstructed the accident.

The crash remains under investigation.
