Two Arrested After Attacking Man with Brick

The victim told police the two men began assaulting him and struck him with a brick. He also said one of the men stabbed him in the arm with a knife.
FREDERICK, Md. - Two men have been arrested and charged with assault after police say they brutally attacked another man in the City of Frederick. 

The incident happened around 2 a.m. on June 16, 2014 in the 300 block of N. Market Street. 

Officers with the Frederick City Police Department say they were called to Frederick Memorial Hospital for a person injured from a serious assault. 

The male victim told police he got into a verbal fight with the two suspects on N. Market Street, then was accosted by them in Scottish Alley near his home. 

The victim told police the two men began assaulting him and struck him with a brick. One of the men then stabbed him in the arm with a knife. He told police he was able to escape, and was taken to the hospital by a family member. Police say the injuries were serious, but non-life threatening. 

Officers say the three are known to each other, and this was not a random event. 

The two suspects have been identified as James Chester Gladchuk of Frederick, Md., and Michael Anthony Voorhis, of Walkersville, Maryland. Both are charged with first and second-degree assault and reckless endangerment.
