Two Businesses Reported Robbed in Frederick; Police Search for Suspects

The Frederick City Police Dept. says a BP gas station, as well as a D&N Auto Parts were robbed Wednesday morning. Officers say they're looking into the possibility if they're both related.
FREDERICK COUNTY, Md. - The Frederick City Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating a suspect involved in an early morning armed robbery at a BP gas station.

Just before 1 a.m on Wednesday, a man entered the BP gas station on West Seventh Street, and according to a clerk he held up the store at gunpoint before leaving the scene in an unknown direction.

A witness told authorities the suspect was a black man wearing dark clothing and had on a face mask.

Police also say second robbery happened around 9 a.m. at D&N Auto Parts on 200 West 5th Street, about a half a mile from the BP gas station. Officers say they're looking into the possibility if they're both related. 

They say a man entered the store, displayed a handgun and attempted to steal money, but fled the store on foot without taking any items. Witnesses say the man is described as a black male, thin, approximately 6'0" tall, wearing a dark colored hoodie sweat shirt and sweat pants. The suspect was also described as having a mask covering his face.
