Two Wanted in Assault, Robbery in Hagerstotwn

Officers with the Hagerstown Police Department are searching for two men who allegedly attacked someone on the street, stealing their wallet while cutting the victim in the stomach.
HAGERSTOWN, Md. - Officers with the Hagerstown Police Department are searching for two men who allegedly attacked someone on the street, stealing their wallet while cutting the victim in the stomach. 

The incident happened around 9:05 a.m. Friday, June 6, 2014 along the 200 block of Memorial Boulevard. 

Officers arrived on the scene and discovered the victim had a non-life threatening laceration to the right side of his stomach area. 

The male victim told police two black men in their mid-20's approached him asking for a cigarette. The victim went to give them one, and upon doing so one of the men took his wallet while the other slashed at his stomach.

Both men fled the scene and ran towards Mill Street, police say. 

Detectives are continuing with the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the Hagerstown City Police Department at 301-790-3700.
