UPDATE: Suspect Identified in Fatal Stabbing

"You usually see it on TV, you hear about other people it has happened to but not right in your backyard."

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - Shippensburg Police were called to 300 East Neff Avenue Saturday night for a stabbing victim. When they arrived, Christian Paffos, 22, was found dead at the scene.

The suspect has been identified as Nolan Burke, 25, of Chambersburg, Pa.

"My kids were out there yesterday riding their bikes," said Kendra Neil, a neighbor. "We weren't home at the time and then we come home and find out that happened. It's really scary."

Burke turned himself in to Shippensburg Police shortly after the incident occurred, where he volunteered to be interviewed. He was later taken to Cumberland County Booking Center, where he was charged with criminal homicide. Neighbors say Paffos was the only son of a woman in the neighborhood.

"I think about my kids and I'm thankful that it wasn't one of them," Neil said. "It's really heartbreaking that something like that would happen to anybody."

Friends of Paffos say they believe he was stabbed more than once. However, officials are not confirming where or exactly how many times he was stabbed. Friends also said that the dispute was over a girl that both the men knew. The suspect is currently being held Cumberland County Booking Center. The incident is still under investigation.
