Victim in Fatal Dirt Bike Accident Identified

The sheriff's office says the dirt bike left the road, hit a pole, and then crashed into large tree.
SHARPSBURG, Md. – A dirt bike accident in Washington County claimed the life of a man Sunday afternoon. We now know 50-year-old Allan Eschinger of Keedysville, Maryland passed away.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to the 18600 block of Mount Lock Hill Road in Sharpsburg, shortly before 2 p.m.

They say Eschinger's Suzuki dirt bike traveled westbound on Mount Lock Road, left the road, hit a pole, and then crashed into large tree.

The sheriff’s office says the man was not wearing a helmet. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
