During the appreciation dinner more than 40 local businesses were honored for celebrating 30, 50, 75 and even 100 years in business.
Keynote speaker Kay Stimson said entrepreneurship is the future to creating more successful businesses.
"It's a great way to partner and find collaborations and create new ideas, new thoughts, new programs and really work on that next generation of entrepreneurs that are coming,” said Kay Stimson, Director of Communications for the National Association of Secretaries of State and former WHAG anchor.

“It is very important for states to start focusing on the rise of the entrepreneurial class. More and more people want to have flexibility and try to create their own business to try to achieve there own work life balance,” said Stimson.
This was the 16th annual Celebration of Business event.
