Winchester Ex-Official’s Case Continued

Jim Deskins, the city's previous Economic Development Authority Executive Director was arrested in April for soliciting a prostitute and possession of marijuana.

SHENANDOAH COUNTY, Va. - An ex-Winchester city official's case has been continued in Shenandoah County General District Court.

Jim Deskins, the city's previous Economic Development Authority Executive Director was arrested in April for soliciting a prostitute and possession of marijuana.

The arrest was the result of an undercover operation headed by the Mount Jackson Police Department.

Following his arrest, Deskins resigned from his position with the city, which he worked with for 13 years.

He is expected back in Shenandoah County General District Court on June 9, 2014.
